Q. How dId you get into the mobile sector? What do you most like about it from a work point-of-view?
The only reason I am a mobile blogger is my passion to know more about mobiles and related technologies. In fact, my apt towards mobiles made several print media and TV Channels to interview me.
Q. How important will mobile apps be in 2010 / 2011?
Keeping in mind the trend of mobile apps usage, I feel they are going to rule the mobile phone industry in the coming 2-3 years. Apps developer can cash this advantage.
Q. How smart are mobile apps at the moment? How smarter do you think they can get?
There are already many useful apps released for users in various platforms. Some of the best concepts of apps I like are: Apps that work smartly basing on the geographical location you are in using GPS technology Live streaming apps like qik, etc
Q. What big changes do you see happening next in mobile technology – or what are you most looking forward to – what changes would you most like to see?
As you might have noticed, these days handset manufacturers are working hard on introducing phones with high quality embedded cameras. But personally, I feel there is a lot more scope for mobile broadband in the future.
Q. Where is mobile broadband at now in terms of technology and price? Where is it heading?
Though mobile broadband is quite advanced and reasonable in some of the developed countries. But several developing countries like India are yet to witness mobile broadband. I look forward for the introduction of high speed mobile internet in such countries at a very reasonable prices.
Q. What is Google doing to embrace mobile technology? How well is it doing?
Google is surely trying its best to change the way people use mobile phone with an in-house mobile operating system. But personally, I am still not much impressed with Google due to non-introduction of its products (Nexus one) world-wide.
